In the first sample for Isaiah chapter 58, the Lord makes a connection to the 58th book of the Bible with people not knowing God’s ways.

ISAIAH 58
2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways
3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? …
4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate…

HEBREWS 3
10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

The phrase “know my ways” appears NO where else in the Bible (KJV).
The phrase “known my ways” only appears ONE other time, in the entire Bible (KJV).


In the second sample, the Lord makes a connection with choosing God over pleasure.

ISAIAH 58:13 …not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD…

Hebrews 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
