In the first sample for Isaiah chapter 46, the Lord makes a connection to the 46th book of the Bible with there is none other God.

ISAIAH 46:9
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

I CORINTHIANS 8:4
…we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.


In the second sample, the Lord makes a connection with idols being unable to speak.

ISAIAH 46:6
They lavish gold out of the bag,… and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
7 …one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

I CORINTHIANS 12:2
Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
