In the first sample for Isaiah chapter 29, the Lord makes a connection to the 29th Christian book and the 29th Jewish book with the wicked being destroyed.
Isaiah chapter 29 makes a direct connection to Joel with “multitude, multitude”.
Isaiah chapter 29 also makes a direct connection to Job by comparing the destruction of the wicked to CHAFF THAT is taken AWAY.

ISAIAH 29:5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be AS CHAFF THAT passeth AWAY

JOEL 3:13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe.. for their wickedness is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

JOB 21:17 How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them!…
18 They are as stubble before the wind, and AS CHAFF THAT the storm carrieth AWAY.

The phrase “as chaff that” appears NO where else in the entire Bible (KJV).

In the second sample, a connection is made to the 29th Christian book with the heart of people being far from the LORD.

JOEL 2:12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart

ISAIAH 29:7 And the multitude of all the nations… that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.
8 It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty…

JOB 20:7 Yet he shall perish for ever… Where is he?
8 He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

JOB 33:15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
