There are many connections in Isaiah 42, below are just a few samples of what can be found.


In the first sample for Isaiah chapter 42, the Lord makes a connection to the 42nd book of the Bible with a light of the Gentiles.

ISAIAH 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness… for a light of the Gentiles;

LUKE 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.


In the second sample for Isaiah chapter 42, the Lord makes a connection to the 42nd book of the Bible with the blind receiving sight.

ISAIAH 42:7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

LUKE 7:21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities… and unto many that were blind he gave sight.


In the third sample, the Lord makes a connection with the deaf hearing and the blind seeing.

ISAIAH 42:18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.

LUKE 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, and lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.


In the fourth sample, a connection is made with the Spirit of the Lord being upon Christ.
