In the first sample for Isaiah chapter 37, the Lord makes several connections to the 37th Christian book with:

  • God sending a blasting
  • People being smote
  • God reducing man’s strength and chariots
  • People dying by the sword of their own family

ISAIAH 37:7
Behold, I will send a blast upon him… and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.
24 …thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains,
27 Therefore their inhabitants were of small power… and as corn blasted before it be grown up.
36 Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians…
38…And it came to pass… his sons smote him, with the sword

HAGGAI 2:17
I smote you with blasting and with mildew… saith the LORD.
22 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.


In the second sample for Isaiah chapter 37, the Lord makes a connection with “even thou art God alone, thou hast made heaven and earth”.

ISAIAH 37:16
thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.

NEHEMIAH 9:6
Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein…

The exact phrase “thou hast made heaven” only appears ONE other time in the entire Bible (KJV).
