In the first sample for Isaiah chapter 2, the Lord makes a connection to the 2nd book of the Bible with man’s need to protect himself from God’s glory, by entering into the cleft of the rock.

ISAIAH 2:10-21
10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty…
21 To go into the clefts of the rocks… for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty…

EXODUS 33:22
And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

The words glory and rock only appear in the same verse ONE other time in the entire Bible (KJV).
The words glory and rocks NEVER appear in the same verse anywhere else in the Bible (KJV).


In the second sample for Isaiah chapter 2, the Lord makes a connection with idols of silver and idols of gold. Also the connection for Isaiah verse 20 is found in Exodus chapter 20.

ISAIAH 2:20
In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship…

EXODUS 20:23
Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
