In the first sample for Isaiah chapter 17, the Lord makes a connection to the 17th Christian book. This connection is made with Isaiah’s prophesy being fulfilled a few hundred years later and recorded in the book of Esther. This fulfillment occurred at the banquet when Esther told the king that Haman wanted to destroy and spoil the Jews. Haman received his lot and was hanged that evening.

ISAIAH 17:14
And behold at evening tide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us (the Jews), and the lot of them that rob us.

ESTHER 3:12
…and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded…
13 …to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews…and to take the spoil of them for a prey.
Esther 7:1 …the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther…
3 Then Esther… said… O king…
4…we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish.
5 Then the king… answered and said unto Esther…Who is he… that durst presume in his heart to do so?
6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman…
7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden…
8 …as the word went out of the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.
10 …they hanged Haman on the gallows
Esther 9:24 Because Haman… the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is the lot, to consume them…
25…the king…commanded… that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head
26 Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur (that is the lot)…

In the second sample for Isaiah chapter 17, the Lord makes a connection to the 17th Jewish book with the destruction of Damascus. Also, the connection for Isaiah verse 1 is found in Amos chapter 1.

ISAIAH 17:1
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

AMOS 1:3
Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof…
5 I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain.
